Privacy Policy

Last updated August 7, 2026. This page explains what information this site collects, how it's used, and your options.

Who this applies to

Student Nutrition Program Canada (studentnutritionprogram.ca) is published by the team behind Smart Nutrition Bites. This policy covers information collected through this website only.

What we collect

  • Contact form: when you submit the Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic you select, and your message.
  • Chat assistant: when you use the "Nourish Bot" chat widget, the message you type and the page you're on are sent to generate a response. We don't ask for or require any personal information to use the chatbot.
  • Nothing else. This site does not use cookies, analytics, or third-party advertising trackers. A theme preference (light/dark) may be saved in your browser's local storage, but this stays on your device and is never sent to us.

How we use it

Contact form submissions are sent by email to a member of our team so we can respond to your question, correction, or inquiry. We don't use this information for marketing, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.

Chat messages are sent to a third-party AI service (Google's Gemini API) to generate a response, and processed through workflow automation software (n8n) that we operate. Chat messages are not stored in a persistent database by us beyond what's needed to generate and return the response.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to operate this site: Google (Gemini API, for the chat assistant, and Gmail, for receiving contact form messages) and n8n (workflow automation we self-host). We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

How long we keep it

Contact form messages are retained in our email inbox like any other email. We don't maintain a separate marketing database of contact form submissions.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. To do this, use the Contact page and select the appropriate topic.
